At the same weekend like the European Championships in Ljubljana (Slovenia) the Pacific Alliance Championships 2004 will take place in April 15-17 in Honolulu.

Seven time Olympic champion Boris Shakhlin (UKR) will be the first person to carry the Olympic torch when it arrives in Kiev on July 5. The 1960 Olympic and 1958 world AA champion is one of over 100 runners that will take the flame on a the 38km long journey through the streets of the Ukrainian capital. Shakhlin will hand it over to Vyacheslav Oleynik, the first Olympic champion for independant Ukraine.
The Dutch national team won the dual meet against host Germany in Cologne with a score of 109,025 to 108,550. Suzanne Harmes was the best gymnast in all-around with 36,750 points.
Also the Dutch junior team won against the host with a score of 102,975 : 102,300 points.

Germany won Dress Rehersal for Euro Champs
The German men's team won the dual meet in the 'Anhalt Arena' of Dessau (Saxonia Anhalt) with a score of 168,675 : 159,400 points against the team from the Czech Republic.
Best in all-around was Robert Juckel (Cottbus) with a score of 55,600 points, followed by Sven Kwiatkowski (Chemnitz; 55,350). Best Czech gymnast was Martin Konecny (53,250) on fouth.
