British Gymnastics coach Eddie van Hoof suspended pending investigation

British media reported, that Eddie VAN HOOF has been suspended by British Gymnastics as an independent investigation is conducted into allegations of misconduct. Van Hoof, men's technical director at the Rio Olympics as Britain won five medals, was UK coach of the year 2016.

New UEG President elected: Farid Gayibov

At the 27th Congress of the European Gymnastics Federation (UEG) in Split, Croatia, Mr. Farid Gayibov of Azerbaijan was elected as the new president at the attended by the 50 member federations of the UEG. Gayibov defeated Slovenia's Edvard Kolar, 28 votes to 20. After George Guelzec (FRA), who held the post for the past eight years, Gayibov will become the 5th president of the UEG.
