At the first day of the 36th World Championships in Artistic Gymnastics in Debrecen (HUN) Elena Zamoloschikova (RUS/floor) and Courtney Kupets (USA) were the winners, also Marian Dragulescu (ROM/floor), Marius Urzica (ROM/pommel horse) and Szilveszter Csollany (HUN/rings).
On 2nd day, Ashley Postell (USA) on beam and Elena Gomez (ESP) becam World Champions. Li Xiao-Peng (CHN) won on vault and parallel bars, Vlasios Maras (GRE) won on high bar.

The European Champion of 2002, the Romanian men's team won a tri-meet in Geneva lst weekend with a score of 219,05 points.
On second place came the European Champion of 1998 France with 217,025 and on third came the Swiss team with 212,425 points.
